Hello, and welcome! I love being able to share my passion for music and teaching by helping kids (ages 5 and up) and adults with various backgrounds achieve their learning goals! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, with many art credits, where I was on honor roll and graduated Magna cum laude. I also have a teaching license as well as TEFL, TESOL and ESOL certifications. I have been taking guitar lessons since I was 8 years old. I only stopped taking guitar lessons after graduating High School and have been playing and teaching independently since. I also finally reached my lifelong goal of learning how to play piano, as an adult. I have 9 years of experience teaching in Elementary schools, tutoring Math and Reading independently to kids Grade 2 through college, teaching private and group guitar and piano lessons, and teaching English to students from around the word online. With my years of experience I have honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, encouraging student curiosity, adapting to different settings and requirements, providing one-on-one and group setting instruction, and fostering a positive and empowering learning environment. When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my 16-month-old baby girl on our farm, surrounded by our dogs, cats, horses, and cows. I believe that my personal experiences as a mom and a farmer taught me the importance of nurturing growth and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to sharing my love for art, music, and teaching with my students and helping them reach their full potential.
